Golf-Hotel built in Schönried.

1957
Name changed to Hotel Ermitage-Golf. 

1977
Hotel Ermitage-Golf bought by Heiner Lutz and Laurenz Schmid.

1979
Official opening of the first indoor and open air salt water bath at 1,200m altitude. 

1980
Official opening of the salt water bath house with 37 new single and twin rooms, junior suites and suites.

1987
Official opening of the main hotel with 39 single and twin rooms and junior suites, sauna park with three saunas.

1996
Official opening of the new Vitalità with treatment rooms and fitness room.

2000
Official opening of Vitalità II with Rasul, Golden Nostalgica and Hamam.

2004
Official opening of the new changing rooms and extension of the fitness room. 

2005

Official opening of the new outdoor sports pool and a new sunbathing meadow; additional floor and extension of the salt water bath with 15 new rooms and suites.

2007

Extension of the "Vitalità" health club and a new spacious reception desk with seating area. An "Alpienne" treatment room and more massage treatment rooms, plus a new gymnastics area.

2010

Start of the new west building project, the excavation of the new “Résidence” house with the first two ground floors.

2011

The establishment remained closed for 8 months as from 20 March 2011 for the main building and extension work. During this time the new houses of “Saanen” and “Résidence” were built and a new overall infrastructure, unparalleled in the hotel trade.

The Wellness & Spa Hotel Ermitage will open its doors again on 21 December 2011. Now, among other things, you will have altogether 3,500 square meters of wellness, eight new restaurant lounges, the new Front Experience kitchen, new Senior suites and the beautiful halls with panoramic views of Saanenland!
