A mountain holiday at the seaside? The ERMITAGE Wellness & Spa Hotel in Gstaad-Schönried combines both ideals. The environmentally friendly salt-water pool renovated in 2019 offers blissfully warm water with the same level of salt as the ocean.
Salt-water pools both indoors and in the open air, throughout the year. Good for the health, the skin and for letting go. Together with the large sports pool, the well-being of water is a pillar of the integrated spa philosophy.
Salt water is more than just salt water!
The natural salt water used in the ERMITAGE salt-water pool comes from the United Rhine Salt Works in Schweizerhalle, formed millions of years ago in an inland sea, today lying at a depth of 140-400 m. The natural salt water is added to spring water heated to 35°C at the perfect concentration. A completely new water purification process involving filtering and modern salt electrolysis ensures the salt water’s optimum cleansing, which lowers intensity of maintenance and reduces the use of chemicals.

Immerse yourself in the soothing warmth of the outdoor and indoor saltwater pool, then enjoy a delicious, traditional cheese fondue – the perfect way to escape the everyday and recharge your energy.

· 2 hours of admission to the outdoor & indoor saltwater pool (35 C°), the outdoor sports pool and the sauna park (6 to 8 PM)
· 1 Schönried cheese fondue at the "Fondue Spycher" restaurant, excluding drinks
