By train: The Hotel is 5 minutes’ walk from Schönried station. Let us chauffeur you from Schönried station to the ERMITAGE and back. Simply inform us in advance of your arrival or departure time (033 748 04 30) so that we can organise the shuttle service to your needs. By car: From German-speaking Switzerland, take the A6 highway and exit the at Wimmis. Then follow the signs for Zweisimmen and Gstaad. The journey takes approx. 1 hour from Bern or Bern-Belp, and approx. 2.5 hours from Lörrach/Basel and Zurich. From the western part of Switzerland, take the Bulle exit off the highway and follow the signs for Château d'Oex/Gstaad. Once you arrive in Saanen, after the tunnel go around the roundabout and ¾ of the way around take the road signposted for Schönried. The journey takes approx. 1.75 hours from Lausanne and 2.25 hours from Geneva.
Is there parking at the Hotel?
We will be happy to park your car for you. You have the option of an outside carpark for CHF 10 per day, a garage for CHF 15 per day and a heated garage for CHF 20 per day. Prices vary in winter. Prices are subject to change.
From what time can guests arrive and/or check in?
The rooms are available from 4 pm. If you arrive earlier, you are welcome to visit the Wellness area. Reception will provide you with your bathing bag including sauna towel, bathrobe and Wellness slippers. Changing rooms and lockers are located at the entrance to the spa area.
How far is the Hotel from the ski lifts?
The ski resort around Schönried is around 7 minutes’ walk from the Hotel. From here you can take the Horneggli ski lift to 1,770 m above sea level and enjoy the Hornberg, Saanerslochgrat and Rinderberg skiing areas.
How far away is Gstaad?
The journey to Gstaad takes around 8 minutes by train, or 15 minutes by car.
Can I register in advance for excursions with the Guides?
The excursions led by our Guides are a special plus for our Hotel guests. An advance booking for the excursions is normally not possible. However, you can register/come to the Information desk in front of the Hotel hall “Bärgblick” every Monday to Friday from 9 to 10 am. An advance booking may be required for individual excursions: this will be noted on the programme.
Can I register for the sports lessons in advance?
Our sports and relaxation programme adds fun and movement, as well as relaxation and deceleration into your holidays. We prepare an energetic programme each day that you are highly welcome to join, with no need to register in advance.
