Biking - adventure on two wheels

Exciting mountainbike paths and signposted tours are waiting for you, offering just the right thing for all levels and tastes. Experience authentic mountain scenery from the saddle. Enjoy every possible outdoor moment and take in the impressive Alpine scenery—so that you return home full of inner treasures. You can rent mountainbikes free of charge at the ERMITAGE (if available) and have the chance to profit from the insider tips of our knowledgeable Guides.

E-bikes can be rented at the Reception: CHF 45.00 for a full day (available from April to October). In Switzerland, you must be 16 years old – or 14 years old with a moped license – to ride an e-bike.

Experience the Saanenland from the bike saddle. Varied and exciting tours through numerous villages and the picturesque surrounds promise an unforgettable biking experience. The adventure begins right outside our front door. Whether you want to tackle a panorama route or enjoy fantastic views after a climb, the hotel’s own bikes give you the chance to discover a new world on two wheels.

Our spirited e-bikes and e-mountainbikes turn the steepest slope into a pleasure. Enjoy all the pleasures of biking without raising a sweat. The many routes bring you to the heart of nature; say hello to wild chamois and our Alpine crow.

Whether you choose a gentle tour along the Village Path or or a cultural e-bike tour of the 4 Finger Loops, well signposted routes and battery changing stations guarantee an unforgettable experience. 

 

Road bike

Road bike tours in the region

Saanenland is still a bit of an insider tip for road bike enthusiasts. Enjoy varied tours and training possibilities coupled with Alpine experiences and unique road bike moments. The level of difficulty ranges from easy to hard. How about the Gstaad 4 Finger Loop? The route is 59.09 km, lasts around 3.5 hours and the starting point is right outside our front door. Your journey starts in the direction of Saanen. Enjoy the rush of the wind against your face for a little bit of that Tour de Suisse feeling.

The full-on biking experience

Do you want even more adventure? Discover three mountains on the Gstaad Mountain Railway Tour on a challenging bike tour. Wrestle your bike over root and rock, around obstacles and into banked curves. Then enjoy a break with a view in one of the mountain railways. Back on the trail there’ll be more great downhill sections and thrilling descents.
